EXPLORE

Our understanding of the border territory comes from different sources and experiences - visuals, narratives and numbers.

Multiple and diverse experiences and perspectives create expanded opportunities for  collective narratives and storytelling.

To imagine our future, we need to better understand our past, our present in a multi-layered way. We are invested in documenting and help to tell the stories of different communities, landscapes, and people experiencing in the expansive MX-US territory.  We are compelled to document change, and to bring visibility to the layers that have been left behind - intentionally or unintentionally.

Our goals are rooted in the belief that by comprehensively understanding multiple perspectives of history, present, and the intricate layers that compose them, we can pave the way for a more inclusive future. Through storytelling, we aim to foster empathy, promote equity, and bridge divides by showcasing the rich tapestry of experiences that exist within our shared border landscape.

VOICES

This collection of voices have been created by the Borderless Workshop over multiple years - from interviews with individuals working in different fields and multiple fronts (education, architecture, government, planning), and other programs such as interdisciplinary workshops.
