Paola Aguirre Serrano is an urban designer and partner at BORDERLESS, collaborative architecture and urban design practice. Paola focuses on multidisciplinary exchange, city systems integration and participatory civic processes focused on spatial justice and equitable design by leveraging her experience working with public, civic and private organizations in Mexico and the United States. Paola currently serves as faculty at the University of Texas San Antonio School of Architecture + Planning.
Laura Janka Zires is an architect, urban designer and founder of L-O-C-A-L, Sao-Paulo+Mexico participatory platform. Since 2007, she has worked on issues related to urban development in the context of Latin American cities, as a public official and as a consultant. Her practice has always required leading projects of different scales and promoting public policies of great technical and political complexity, as a public official and as a consultant. She currently serves as Director of Planning Institute in Fortaleza, Brazil.
Dennis Milam is an architect and partner with BORDERLESS. Since 2003 Dennis has worked closely with private clients, developers, government agencies, non-profit organizations, and architecture and engineering offices in the United States, Europe, Middle East and Asia on projects of various scales—from private residences to large scale mixed-use projects from conception to completion. Dennis currently serves as faculty at the University of Texas San Antonio School of Architecture + Planning.
Salvador Herrera Montes is an urbanist and founder of URBANISTICA, Mexico City-based urban planning office with a focus on the integration of housing, mixed use, public space and mobility. With experience in multi-scale development strategies: local, urban, regional, national and multi-sector: social, private, public. Salvador has collaborated within the government sector for more than 10 years at a national and international level. Salvador is a 2024 SPURS Fellow (Special Program for Urban and Regional Studies) at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

COLLABORATORS
Alicia Delgado-Alcaraz a native of the MX-US borderland region, is pursuing an MArch degree at MIT Architecture + Planning and is the founder-director of in//border, an initiative offering mentorship and resources to architecture students, inspired by her educational background at Texas Tech College of Architecture (HCOA) - El Paso and El Paso Community College (EPCC). Additionally, Alicia is a co-founder of Shift+W, an MIT Student Initiative that delves into the complexities surrounding Female Representation in Architecture.

At MIT, she is dedicated to community-focused design, exploring the role of everyday objects in promoting inclusivity and meaningful connections within the built environment.
